UNIT 3 Reflection

  1. Based on your reflections, and on a scale of 1 to 10 (ten being optimal wellbeing), where do you rate your A-physical wellbeing, B-spiritual well-being, C-psychological well-being? Why?
A.    I would give my physical wellbeing about an 8. The reason is that I workout 4 days a week for at least 40 to 60 minutes a day.
B.    My spiritual wellbeing is about 6. I attend church every Sunday and attend some church events.
C.    My psychological well is 7. I feel like I am pretty shape everyday of the week.

  1. Develop a goal for yourself in each area (physical, spiritual, psychological).
My physical goal would be able to workout for 5 days of the week. My spiritual goal would be to go to a prayer meeting during the week. My psychological goal would be to improve my overall state of mine by doing some mind activities.

3.     What activities or exercise can you implement in your life to assist in moving toward each goal?
The one exercise I would implement is more stretching. Stretching just makes your body and mind feel good when you are done.

4.     Complete the relaxation exercise The Crime of the Century.
Listen to the relaxation exercise I was frustrated. I believe the reason was that my mind was not focus on listening. I have a couple things coming up this weekend that I kept thinking about.

  1. I know how you feel, especially when you mentioned not being able to focus on anything during the exercise. I have those days quite often, especially when I get a song stuck in my head that I cannot get out. Sometimes, it's just best to leave the mindfulness stuff behind for a day and come back when you are ready (usually after you have taken care of whatever it is that is lingering in your mind). I have found that when something is really stuck in my head, its for a reason, and it needs to be addressed so I can move on with my life. Great blog.
